Comparing Plans
Before you create your first space, you're on the Free plan—it's the starting point, not a space you can actually use yet. When you're ready to create a space, you'll need to pick a paid plan.

Note: Free lets you explore Kolab, but you'll see an Upgrade to Pro to create spaces prompt the moment you try to start one. Pick Kolab Essentials or Pro to actually run a session.
For One-Off Events and Ongoing Programs
Two more plans sit outside the main upgrade picker, for teams with different needs:

- Event Pass is a one-time purchase for a single big event, bought through its own checkout link rather than the main plan picker.
- Program Starter is built for teams running an ongoing cohort or program. It appears as a compact option below the main picker in Team Settings → Billing.
Need more than 100 participants? Kolab also offers Enterprise plans with custom pricing and unlimited participants for large organizations. Reach out to the Kolab team to talk through your needs.
Upgrading
Billing is scoped to your whole team, not to any one person—so whoever upgrades sets the plan for every space your team creates.
- Open Team Settings
- Go to the Billing tab
- Choose a plan and billing cycle (monthly or annual)
- Enter payment details to confirm
Tip: Switching from monthly to annual billing gets you 2 months free on Kolab Essentials and Pro.
About Your Trial
New paid signups get a 14-day free trial, card required upfront. You get full access to your chosen plan during the trial, and you can cancel anytime before it ends if it's not a fit.
Note: If you signed up using another facilitator's referral link, your trial may be extended to 30 days. See Refer & Earn for details.
